About

headshot4When I was a little girl everyone believed I would become an artist. But after the Berlin Wall came down I surprised everyone by studying business instead of art, with the grand hopes of bringing capitalism to Poland’s crippled economy – the place I was born.

A few years into my career, Poland was doing fine without me, and I was stuck in an office job twisting paperclips into animals, battling paper cuts, and trying to slide out early on Fridays.

After stumbling across a book on trompe l’oeil and faux finishing, I began practicing various techniques on my bedroom walls and eventually transformed my parents’ house into an oasis.

My delighted mother spread the word among Chicago’s Polish community, and weeks later I was paid for my very first mural job.

On a side note, the little girl in this mural became Miss Poland years later.

Believing in me, mom said I should call my company Sky’s the Limit, and from there sprung the idea that just about anything can be painted on a wall or ceiling. Thanks, mom!

As I honed my craft, the breadth of my work expanded and three years later I was painting homes for football and basketball players alongside everyday working people, and donating murals to help raise money for the Boys and Girls Club.

Kids’ rooms are where both the client and I can let our hair down and go wild with ideas. How better to spark a child’s imagination and encourage their creativity than by expanding their horizons? The sky really is the limit when it comes to decorating kids’ rooms.

Modernist, romantic, sophisticated, chic, regency, rococo, or swanky – there is a mural for every design scheme and every budget.

From simple to lavish, design aesthetic extends to accent walls, decorative elements, archways, even furnishings. Nothing will keep you from transforming an average space into a harmonious place of beauty.
